Generative AI (GenAI) is transforming the landscape of AI solutions, enabling enterprises to build more intelligent, adaptive, and scalable applications than ever before. As enterprises increasingly adopt large language models (LLMs) to drive innovation, they face critical challenges — navigating complex development workflows, ensuring reliability at scale, and aligning technical and non-technical teams for seamless collaboration. Without the right platform, organizations risk inefficiencies, unpredictable outputs, and slow time-to-market.
With the GenAI landscape evolving at an unprecedented pace, selecting the right platform has never been more crucial. Enterprises need solutions that not only provide cutting-edge model capabilities but also deliver the necessary infrastructure, governance, and optimization tools to drive real-world impact. The key to success lies in choosing a platform that balances flexibility with control, empowering teams to rapidly iterate, fine-tune, and scale LLM apps with confidence.
Orq.ai is recognised as one of the Emerging Visionaries in the Generative AI Engineering Market Quadrant and recognised as one of the Emerging Specialists in the AI Knowledge Management Apps/General Productivity use case in the 2025 Gartner Innovation Guide for Generative AI Technologies. We believe this recognition reaffirms our mission to bridge the gap between engineers and non-technical teams, empowering organizations to build, scale, and optimize GenAI applications with confidence.
Breaking Down the GenAI Market Segments
Generative AI is not a standalone market — it permeates the entire AI technology stack, transforming industries by reshaping how AI solutions are developed, deployed, and optimized.
According to the Gartner report “the Emerging Market Quadrant is a pilot initiated in June 2024 to provide a visualization of generative AI vendors. It provides a way to represent the vendors’ capabilities in a dynamic and fast-moving market. Though some characteristics of the market assessment are similar to Gartner’s Magic Quadrants, it is a lighter, less exhaustive methodology optimized for pace. Vendor positioning is based on a scoring framework using survey responses from vendors that fit the submarket definition and features, and other sources such as Peer Insights reviews from relevant markets.”
According to Gartner, the report is focused on four submarkets of Generative AI:
GenAI specialized cloud infrastructure: “Gartner defines the generative AI specialized cloud infrastructure submarket as infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS offerings) to support the GenAI needs for compute, storage and network. This includes capabilities for infrastructure orchestration, tuning and scaling for GenAI development and applications in production.”
GenAI engineering: “Gartner defines the generative AI engineering submarket as technologies providing full-model life cycle management, specifically adjusted to and catering for developing, refining and deploying generative models (e.g., large language models [LLMs]) and other GenAI artifacts in production applications. This submarket includes platforms for AI orchestration (e.g., model chaining, agent development and RAG architecture accelerators).”
AI knowledge management apps and general productivity: “Gartner defines the AI knowledge management apps/general productivity submarket as technologies that enable companies to better retrieve and contextualize information and insight from their knowledge bases, including search/insight engines, conversational AI vendors, as well as productivity tools for communications and content development.”
GenAI model providers: “Gartner defines the generative AI model providers submarket as models that offer access to commercial or open-source/open-weights foundation models. These models may include LLMs and other types of generative algorithms (such as multimodal models, diffusion models, generative adversarial networks [GANs], genetic/evolutionary algorithms or simulations). The offerings include model access for developers to embed into their applications or use as base models for fine-tuning specialized models for software offerings or internal enterprise use cases.”
